Recently, I have been receiving a little bit of recognition for my work. I don't know if this has anything to do with Karma, the stars or astro-physics, but I do know that I like it.
ESPN.com, the site that I read more than any other, saw fit to publish an article I wrote about the lack of respect the Steelers were getting in the media. I was very excited that they chose my article over the many millions they must receive every day. I've received a lot of email from Steeler fans around the world who appreciated my conviction. Feel free to write me if you agree with my take on the subject. If you don't, well just keep it to yourself.
Not to be out-done, the print world also took an interest in one of my works. The New York Times (yes, THAT New York Times) published an article on August 27 that featured a web site that I did in college.
The site is about the Hollerin' contest held yearly in a little town called Spivy's Corner, North Carolina. It features Real Video Hollers, so you should check it out.
The icing on the cyber-cake came in the way of an interview request from Net Link World. Net Link World is a site dedicated to the Sega Saturn Net Link web browser, a product near and dear to my (and the company I work for's) heart.
Hopefully, these accolades are only the beginning. But only time will tell, if this was my Fifteen Minutes or just the tip of the iceberg.
